Open to all levels, this one-day workshop will focus on 5 basic skills of drawing: Evaluating edges. The perception of spaces. Relationship of surrounding areas. Assessing light and shadow. And lastly, the ability to see "the whole" while you're working. In addition, we'll produce rendering exercises by using various marking and shading techniques that interpret form. A $10 materials fee is payable to the instructor on the day of class.

Open to all levels, this one-day workshop will focus on various tools such as graphite, colored pencil, watercolor pencil, and charcoal, and their effects with various drawing paper and illustration board surfaces. In addition, the application of texture will be explored with the use of paper collage, crayon, scoring, and pumice covered surfaces. A $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor on the day of class.
